Photography

Photography is a core part of my expression. In my photo series I explore themes such as memory, nature, and belonging, often rooted in everyday environments. I search for moods and fragments of stories within the documentary, while at the same time opening the images up to the viewer’s own interpretations.

In my photography, the moment is more important than technique. I work intuitively and close to the situation, with the ambition to capture what arises in the moment rather than shaping the image afterwards.

I see the camera as a tool for presence and responsiveness, where choices are made as the image comes into being: in the encounter with place, light, and what is unfolding at that moment. I want the image to arise in the moment, with as little distance as possible between what is happening and what becomes the photograph.
